As graduate of Control Data Institute, Mike pursued his love for computers and continued his education in computer science at Chico State University. Shortly before graduation, Mike was given an opportunity he couldn’t pass up, and went to work in the construction industry as controller for Neff Construction, a large general contracting firm in Southern California specializing in K through 12 school construction projects.
During the early 1980s, Mike implemented and operated Timberline’s Construction Software Package for Neff Construction, and in addition to managing the accounting system, he designed over 50 software application programs to interface with Timberline in order to enhance the system.
In 1985, Mike began developing estimating and accounting programs to run on personal computers to fulfill the needs of many contractors in his surrounding area. In 1987, with the help of Kenny Neff, President and Founder of Neff Construction, Mike launched AccuBuild Construction Software. Today, AccuBuild Construction Software is recognized as a leader in providing Accounting, Document Management & Project Management solutions. Mike is still very involved in the day to day operations of AccuBuild and oversees all aspects of software development.
