Clients Module
The Clients module is included in the basic AccuBuild Construction Software system and provides an organized database for maintaining a list of your company's customers, vendors, subcontractors, architects and so forth.
Although the Clients module doesn't perform accounting functions, it does have the capability to track important profile data and lien information. Shipping and billing addresses and company contact with phone numbers are entered into the Clients module and accessed by Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Job Cost. Tax I.D. numbers and 1099 requirements are also designated in the contact's profile.
The Profile Control features are used to track important items such as insurance certificate expiration dates, bonds, warranty information and so forth. Profile defaults can be selected for a specific job to ensure that corresponding "clients" meet the requirements for that project. An alert system within AccuBuild Construction Software allows profile control violations to be reviewed prior to paying a vendor's invoice.
Clients Module and Liens
As you receive preliminary lien notices from your subcontractors or suppliers, you can enter the information into the Clients file to track the lien releases. When a vendor's invoice is selected to be paid, AccuBuild will automatically check whether the lien release date is greater than or equal to the invoice date, or if a full and final release has been entered.
If a violation is encountered, the system will alert you of the potential problem before the actual check is printed. This will allow you to cancel the payment to the vendor until the lien release has been received.
The Clients module also provides a systematic audit trail for the issuance of joint checks and offers detailed and flexible reporting of contact and profile information.
